Author's note

Crankdeal by Andy Greer and Max Infeld of Xerographer.com is a free decorative display font with a wiry, hand-cut look. Its tall capitals swing between broad black strokes and hairline-thin marks. No two shapes seem to stand quite still.

The exaggerated silhouettes can echo ink drawings in gig posters and album artwork. Their uneven weight also suits offbeat fashion branding and theatrical event graphics, especially when the lettering becomes part of the illustration. Concert posters are its clearest home.
