Crass Roots OFL by !Exclamachine Type Foundry is a free old-school military stencil font with blunt, blocky caps and hard cut-in gaps that give the letters a stamped, utilitarian bite. The forms feel poster-sized and commanding, with squared curves and sharp joins that keep the style rough, direct, and a little barracks-era.
It fits naturally in vintage surplus branding, band posters, protest graphics, label work, and title cards where a free font needs that drilled, no-frills voice. Use it for short headlines, cover lines, monograms, or drop caps when you want the breaks in the letters to do the styling without extra ornament.
