Author's note

Crayonnette by Claude Pelletier is a free whimsical calligraphic display font with a distinctly storybook silhouette. Its broad, rounded strokes taper into fine hooks and lively curled ends. The irregular forms feel drawn rather than typeset.

That fairy-tale quality suits children's book covers, confectionery packaging, and posters for family theatre. The winding contours echo clouds, vines, and crooked paths found in children's illustration, tying the lettering closely to fanciful scenery. On a theatre poster, the scrolling letters can become wisps or tendrils within the artwork instead of serving as neutral text.
