Author's note

CSAR, created by BCD/MFA, is a free Russian-inspired display serif with dramatic contrast and elaborate, blade-like curves. Broad rounded forms meet needle-thin joins, and several letters extend into sharp hooks or sweeping ornamental strokes.

Its theatrical silhouette works well for poster titles, music artwork, fashion branding, and packaging with a dark or ceremonial direction. The fine details are most effective at generous sizes, where the unusual joins and pointed flourishes stay distinct. Avoid tight cropping around the long lower strokes and hooked extensions.
