Author's note

Cutive by Vernon Adams is a free slab serif font with broad, sturdy forms and softly bracketed details. Rounded joins and gently changing stroke widths give the lettering a warm typewriter character.

Book covers are its strongest setting, especially for literary fiction or essays that benefit from a quiet printed-page quality. The same restrained texture suits magazine departments, cafe packaging, and event posters, and in editorial work it can turn a heading or pull quote into a subtle reference to traditional typesetting.
