Author's note

Daela Italic by Martin Wenzel is a free modern blackletter display font with a steep forward slant and sharply cut, angular forms. Its broken strokes give the letters a quick, blade-like motion.

As a theatrical title, the lettering can become part of the scene rather than a neutral caption, an approach well suited to fantasy game graphics, metal album artwork, and event posters with dark medieval imagery. Independent fashion labels and alternative music merchandise can use the same narrow, aggressive silhouette to build a darker product identity for audiences drawn to underground music, fantasy worlds, tattoo art, and gothic subcultures.
