Author's note

Damaged Serif by Galdino Otten is a free eroded serif display font with massive slab-like forms and a blunt industrial silhouette. Deep scratches, chipped edges, and long vertical scars cut through the dense capitals, creating a harsher texture than ordinary vintage distressing.

Designers working in punk, metal, or hard-edged streetwear will find it suited to concert posters, album covers, and merchandise. It feels loud and physically worn. On beverage packaging or action-game graphics, the broken surfaces can become part of an illustrated wreckage or weathered-sign concept rather than neutral text.
