Dark Roast, designed by Brittney Murphy, is a free handwritten font with the sweep and uneven ink of a fast personal signature. Broad loops, tall strokes, and ink flecks keep it lively and unpolished.
Personal branding is its clearest home, especially for fashion labels or coffee packaging centered on an independent maker. It can also lend album artwork and event invitations a direct, expressive voice. The sweeping loops can become part of a label illustration or signature mark rather than simple wording.
