Author's note

Datacron, designed by Neale Davidson in 2012, is a free futuristic display font with broad, weighty forms and a sleek machine-made finish. Rounded outer curves meet squared openings and abrupt cut-ins, producing lettering that feels engineered rather than simply geometric.

A science-fiction game interface is its most convincing setting, especially for menus and navigation. It also suits technology branding, electronic music artwork, and event posters built around a clean retro-future theme. In those contexts, the letters can become part of the interface itself, echoing panels, tracks, and illuminated controls.

Based on the lettering used in the 2012–2013 “Fall of Cybertron” toyline. Includes extended characters, the euro symbol, and bold, italic, and condensed versions.
