DBE-Oxygen by Dave Panfili is a free eroded display font with broad, forceful capitals and a severely broken surface. Jagged chips bite through the strokes, leaving sharp fragments and rough outer edges. The damage is dense enough to make the forms look cut from peeling paper or shattered paint.
As a distressed title treatment, it suits concert posters and album packaging built around abrasive rock or industrial themes. It can also bring a damaged, hard-used finish to game graphics and streetwear merchandise. The scattered voids echo ripped collage and splintered illustrations, so the letters become part of the artwork.
