Dead or Alive, created by Sergio Berkenbrock of FontStruct, is a free retro display font built from broad, rounded slab-like forms. Deep side notches and small circular joints break up the dark silhouettes, and the squared inner spaces give the letters a sturdy modular look.
It is convincing on music posters, where its oversized construction suggests vintage stage graphics and custom-cut signage.
