Author's note

DeathRattle BB, Nate Piekos' free horror-brush font from 2007, pushes a slashed, hand-painted look that feels torn straight out of a pulp poster. The letters lean hard with jagged edges, blunt strokes, and spiky endings that give the caps a fast, scraped rhythm rather than a smooth script flow.

It fits horror comics, game logos, Halloween flyers, poster headlines, and loud cover lines where the rough brushwork can do the mood-setting fast. As a free font, it also makes sense for title cards, streaming thumbnails, and short merch words, since the sharp, hacked strokes keep even brief text feeling tense and unruly.
