Desperado! font by Jonathan Paquette is a free distorted display typeface that looks like it’s been dragged through ink, asphalt, and a photocopier. Thick rounded letters are punched through with target-like circles and gouged with gritty splatters, giving every word a raw, urban energy. The shapes stay bold and legible, but the scuffed edges and broken fills keep it from ever feeling clean or polite.
Using Desperado!, your titles instantly feel loud, chaotic, and a little dangerous-great for gig posters, underground event flyers, album art, horror or action game titles, skate brands, and zines. This free font works best big and bold; pair it with a plain, narrow sans serif for body text to let its grunge textures do the shouting.
