Author's note

DFHei Bold 1B, from DynaLab Inc. in 1993, is a free Hei-style Chinese font with a firm, blocky voice. The letters rely on thick, even strokes, squared turns, and compact inner spaces, giving the whole design a no-nonsense rhythm that feels rooted in classic Gothic-style Chinese display lettering.

It fits poster headlines, storefront graphics, magazine cover lines, packaging, and title cards where short text needs a direct, emphatic tone. As a free font, it also works well for logos or section headers, because the weight stays steady across the characters and the crisp, rectilinear shapes keep the look disciplined rather than ornamental.
