Author's note

DF Li Kai Shu 1B by DynaLab Inc. is a free Chinese Kai-style font with the lively brush rhythm of traditional regular script. The letters feel hand-led rather than engineered, with tapered strokes, sharp finishing flicks, and a slightly uneven cadence that keeps the writing grounded in calligraphy instead of turning slick or ornamental.

It suits book covers, cultural posters, editorial headings, restaurant branding, and title cards where you want a literary East Asian tone without losing movement. As a free font, it also works well for short pull quotes or formal packaging names, because the brush contrast and poised, upright structure give even brief lines a composed, written presence.
