Diner-Obese Font

Diner-Obese by David Rakowski is a free ultra-condensed sans serif display font, drawn with severe geometry and the density of lettering cut from solid metal panels. Its towering capitals pack broad vertical strokes into very narrow forms, with squared edges, abrupt horizontal cuts, and tight internal gaps that give the lettering a stark industrial look.

Restaurant signage is its clearest role. The same compressed build and slab-like weight also suit menu covers, food packaging, and music posters, linking each setting through lettering that can function as both a name and a blocky graphic element.
