Dinotopia, created by Robert Schuldenfrei of FontStruct, is a free directional sign dingbat font built from stark, angular arrow forms. Squared bends and forked shafts give the symbols a mechanical look.
Navigation and movement are the clearest themes, suiting game interfaces and event signage. The blocky construction also suits technology posters and transport-themed merchandise, where the arrows can supply an industrial, schematic accent. In game graphics, the branching symbols can become route markers and obstacles within the illustration itself.
