Author's note

Distro Black font by Peter Ramsey & Apostrophic Lab is a free eroded display typeface. Its heavy, inky blobs feel like they’ve been stamped down with too much paint, leaving soft, swollen curves and subtle bites taken out of the edges. The result is loud but playful: a chunky, almost rubbery texture that makes every word look like it’s pulsing off the page.

Using Distro Black, you get a distinctive voice for gig posters, rave flyers, streetwear logos, album covers, zines, stickers, and bold social graphics. The generous forms hold up at large sizes, where the worn details and chubby silhouettes really show. This free font pairs well with a clean geometric sans in small text, letting its big, noisy shapes stay in the spotlight.
