Author's note

Doergon by Peter Wiegel is a free heavy serif display font with monumental capitals and an almost architectural build. The squared serifs and round forms look dense and forceful.

Industrial history and monumental architecture are natural subjects for this stern and carefully constructed style. It can shape museum exhibition posters, illustrated book covers, and cultural event graphics, especially when the design needs typography that recalls carved signs or civic inscriptions. Its strongest role is in poster lettering, where the massive forms become part of the image rather than a neutral caption.
