Author's note
Doergon Backshift by Peter Wiegel is a free three-dimensional slab serif display font with broad, forceful capitals and a deep offset shadow. Square serifs, tight joins, and rounded inner shapes give the lettering the solid look of cut-out signboard type.
Brands built around tools, motors, workwear, or vintage retail can use its stamped depth for packaging and signage. It also suits event posters and merchandise with an industrial or fairground theme. Signage is its clearest role, since the built-in shadow turns each letter into a compact piece of dimensional display lettering.
