Author's note

Don Quixote by David Kerkhoff is a free calligraphic script with the restless sweep of quick, flamboyant penmanship and a distinctly theatrical silhouette. Strong changes in stroke width give the letters sharp entries, dark turns, slender hairlines, and long flourishes that curl well beyond the main forms. The line feels deliberately untamed.

Its old-world literary air suits historical-fiction covers, theatrical posters, and invitations built around drama, ceremony, or romantic excess. The exaggerated swashes can also become part of the richly printed imagery on wine labels and adventure-themed merchandise, echoing stories of wandering heroes, eccentric nobles, impossible quests, and romantic misadventure.
