Author's note

Dotty from JJE990 is a free dotted display font built entirely from evenly sized circular marks. Its open, monoline letter shapes recall bulb signs and early electronic readouts, with rounded curves and simple geometric construction. The repeated dots give every stroke a crisp, modular texture.

Its retro digital character suits arcade graphics, event posters, and music merchandise, especially when the design draws on scoreboards or illuminated signage. In publishing, it can turn a magazine cover line into a graphic pattern, linking the typography to grids and pixel artwork.
