Author's note

Doulos SIL, designed by Walt Agee, Victor Gaultney, Peter Martin, and Debbi Hosken of SIL International, is a free high-contrast serif font with a formal, bookish manner. Broad rounded forms meet very fine hairlines, producing a distinctly traditional silhouette and an even, assured texture across a line. The letters are generously proportioned, with crisp serifs and smooth curves that recall classical publishing type rather than ornamental display lettering.

A literary journal or heritage-minded publisher could use it for essays, book interiors, and editorial features, where its measured shapes support a scholarly atmosphere. It also suits museum programs and academic event materials.
