Author's note

Drakoheart Leiend Bold by Yun González of G3Typefaces is a free modern Gothic display font with an unusually sleek, theatrical silhouette. Tall hooked strokes sweep above and below the letter line, giving the otherwise spare forms a strong sense of motion. Rounded letters are cut by sharp inner points, and the changing stroke widths make the alphabet look both elegant and slightly menacing.

Fantasy game branding is the clearest use for this design. Metal merchandise, horror posters, nightclub event graphics, and fantasy publishing can use its blade-like curves and dramatic extensions, the features that connect these applications through dark theatrical imagery.
