Droid Serif Italic by Ascender Corporation is a free high-contrast serif italic with crisp detail and a distinctly calligraphic sweep. Its pronounced slant, tapered hairlines, and deep curved serifs give the letters brisk forward motion, and broad rounded forms and long finishing strokes keep the texture open, graceful, and closely tied to careful pen lettering.
