Author's note

DS Crystal, designed by Dubina Nikolay of D-Studio in Moscow, is a free segmented techno display font built from sharp modules. Broad geometric strokes meet at clipped corners, with narrow breaks that recall electronic readouts. The silhouettes are mechanical and faceted.

Circuit diagrams and polygon graphics echo its broken geometry, a useful link for game interfaces and science-fiction posters. Electronic music packaging can turn the segmented letters into a recurring emblem. Technology event branding belongs in the same group because each application draws on the font's engineered, digital shapes.
