EasyLombardic, designed by Paulo W of IntellectaDesign, is a free Lombardic display font with the lively irregularity of hand-drawn initials. Broad, dark strokes taper into fine hooks, curls, and long sweeping feet. The letters look theatrical and slightly mischievous.
Its medieval flavor suits fantasy publishing and historical event posters, yet the exaggerated curves can also give music merchandise a strange, artful edge. In book covers and illustrated game graphics, the hooked extensions can mingle with vines, creatures, or border ornament, making the lettering part of the picture.
