Author's note

EdselFont by Nick Curtis of Nick's Fonts is a free condensed display sans with tall, hand-cut lettering. Uneven stroke widths give the capitals a lean, improvised silhouette. Sharp corners keep it brisk and wiry.

The stretched shapes echo hand-drawn storefronts and angular cartoon scenery, fitting illustrated posters and event graphics. It also suits retro packaging and music merchandise with an offbeat mid-century slant. There, the letters can become part of a sign or architectural illustration rather than neutral type.
