Author's note

Effleurage, designed by Gene Buban, is a free ornamental Didone display font with severe stroke contrast and blade-sharp serifs. Teardrop-shaped cuts repeat inside the letters, turning their narrow forms into a crisp pattern of light and dark.

Those pointed cutouts echo jewel facets in fashion illustrations and perfume packaging. The same carved detail suits editorial covers, event posters, and boutique branding, especially for themes drawn from couture, cosmetics, or theatrical glamour, where the lettering can function as part of an ornate graphic motif.
