Author's note

EG Dragon Caps by Bill Roach is a free decorative display font whose letters are assembled from twisting dragons and other winged, horned creatures. Claws, tails, snouts, and folded wings shape every silhouette.

Fantasy game packaging and children's activity books can both use its creature-built alphabet, since the drawings turn wording into part of the illustration. It is especially convincing on event posters and merchandise centered on dragons, monsters, or medieval adventure.

Description
"EG Dragon Caps" is a serif typeface that is an attempt to hybridize a decorative titling face - with a full use text face. It is a font loosely based upon medieval and renaissance era lettering, and was also inspired by the map texts of fantasy author J.R.R. Tolkien. It is a biased mixture of both contemporary and antique typographical stylizations.
