Author's note

Eiszfuchs .bit by Raphael Pohl of FontShop International GmbH is a free pixel font built from stark rectangular strokes. Its letters mix squared curves with clipped diagonal steps, producing an early digital silhouette. The uneven widths and open breaks make the design look like lettering assembled directly on a low-resolution screen.

Designers working on retro games or computer-themed events will find it useful for title cards, interface graphics, and merchandise. The block-by-block construction is especially convincing in game graphics, where the lettering can become part of the screen-based world.
