Ekushey 16 December, developed by Al Mamun Sumon under the Ekushey Font Development Project, is a free Bangla sans serif with a firm, contemporary build. Its companion Latin capitals are broad and upright, with substantial strokes and open interiors. Sharp joins on angular letters meet smoothly rounded curves across the design.
It suits both civic posters and straightforward educational publishing. The steady weight also fits cultural event identities and public signage, giving institutions and community brands a direct, recognizable voice.
