Ekushey Amar Bangla, developed by Al Mamun Sumon under the Ekushey Font Development Project, is a free Bangla typeface with a clean sans serif companion for Latin text. The visible Latin forms use even strokes and generous rounded capitals, and relatively compact lowercase letters introduce a clear shift in scale but retain the same firm drawing.
Bengali-speaking readers are the natural audience for community publications, educational materials, and cultural event graphics set in this family. The restrained construction also suits public-information posters and digital notices tied to Bangla language, literature, regional history, and everyday civic life across schools, public libraries, and local organizations.
