Elementary Gothic Scaled by Bill Roach is a free medieval Gothic display font with towering irregular letters, sharp flares, and dramatic shifts in stroke width. Hooked details make the uneven contours feel lively and theatrical.
Fantasy readers and historical game audiences will recognize its medieval air in book covers, event posters, and title screens. For costume-shop branding and themed printed merchandise, its pointed silhouettes can turn a name into a crest-like mark with an old-world stage quality at once.

"Elementary Gothic Scaled" is a serif typeface that is an attempt to hybridize a decorative titling face - with a full use text face. It is a font loosely based upon medieval and renaissance era lettering, and was also inspired by the map texts of fantasy author J.R.R. Tolkien. It is a biased mixture of both contemporary and antique typographical stylizations.
