Author's note

Elephants and Bears by Gary David Bouton of BOUTON is a free hand-drawn pictorial dingbat font built from chunky symbols. Its collection mixes dense silhouettes with lively outlined drawings, including toys and familiar decorative objects. The linework feels loose and handmade.

Children's publishing is its strongest use, with friendly icons suited to storybook covers and activity pages. The same toy-box imagery can shape party invitations, nursery merchandise, and playful game graphics. Rocking horse and hourglass motifs can become part of an illustrated scene instead of serving as ordinary text.
