Author's note

Emilie by Cloutier Fontes is a free cartoon display font whose tall, irregular capitals have heavy outer edges, crooked slab serifs, broad bent strokes, and the buoyant wobble of hand-drawn lettering. The open interiors are crowded with loose curls, dots, and looping marks, so each letter reads as both text and a compact piece of doodled decoration, and the marks vary from one form to the next.

The style lands squarely in playful storybook territory. For children's publishing, party invitations, candy packaging, and craft merchandise, its swirling motifs can continue into borders, patterns, or surrounding illustrations.
