Engebrechtre Bold by Ray Larabie of Typodermic Fonts Inc. is a free condensed sans serif with towering, tightly drawn capitals. Fine crossbars sharpen the otherwise forceful silhouette.

Fashion branding and music posters both suit its tall proportions and theatrical weight. It can also bring a severe Art Deco edge to magazine covers and event graphics. Against geometric photography or hard-edged illustration, the narrow letters can become part of the vertical pattern.

Engebrechtre is a sans-serif font created in 2000. The redesign retained only the regular weight and started over with new spacing, kerning, and horizontal precision for web use. The S was redrawn, the accents were redesigned, and support for additional languages was added. The italics use round dots rather than slanted dots. The font also includes additional mathematical symbols, fractions, numeric ordinals, an @ symbol, and the Indian rupee symbol. Its vertical metrics were optimized for web performance.

These fonts include a license allowing free commercial use, sometimes referred to as a desktop license. The license allows you to install the fonts on a computer and use them to create posters, web graphics, game graphics, T-shirts, videos, signs, logos, and other work.
