Engebrechtre Bold Italic by Ray Larabie of Typodermic Fonts Inc. is a free condensed sans serif with a forceful forward slant. Tall, tightly drawn letters combine broad main strokes with sharply tapered joins and narrow openings.

Speed and competition are its clearest themes. It suits motorsport posters, athletic branding, album covers, and event graphics because the compressed forms feel urgent and assertive. Against racing photography or angular illustration, the steep strokes can echo directional lines and become part of the visual action.

Engebrechtre is an early-20th-century stressed sans-serif typeface created in 2000. All styles except the regular weight were discarded, and the font was rebuilt from the beginning. Spacing and kerning have been revised, and horizontal metrics have been optimized for web use.

The S has been redesigned. Accents have also been redesigned, and support for additional languages has been added. The italics use round dots rather than slanted dots. The font includes additional mathematical symbols, fractions, numeric ordinals, a new @ symbol, and the Indian rupee symbol. Vertical metrics have been optimized for web performance.
