Author's note

Enochian Plain by Digital Type Foundry is a free Art Nouveau display font with dramatic thick-to-thin strokes and long, tapered curves. Its letters are sculptural rather than conventionally serifed. Pointed joins and inward curls give the lettering a dark, ceremonial edge.

The turn-of-the-century influence suits theater posters and fantasy publishing, especially when the typography is meant to feel ornate and strange. It can also shape perfume packaging or music merchandise through its narrow arches and decorative silhouettes. The repeated hooks connect especially well with occult, gothic, or surreal illustration.
