Erica Type Italic by Peter Wiegel is a free typewriter-style slab serif with an old-school printed look. Broad serifs, sturdy strokes, and slightly softened edges give the letters the uneven finish of ink pressed onto paper.
Publishing suits its mechanical texture, particularly for magazine headings, book covers, and literary event programs. It can also lend packaging the practical charm of a typed label.
