Escargots by Erwin Denissen of High-Logic is a free cartoon display font with rounded, hand-cut lettering. Its uneven outlines and softly swollen strokes give the characters a cheerful, homemade shape. Flower shapes are tucked into more than one letter.
Garden and nature themes make it especially apt for children's publishing and spring event graphics. They also suit craft packaging and cafe signage, where the lettering can become part of the artwork. It is most convincing in illustrated titles built around flowers and friendly outdoor subjects.
