Author's note
Expressway, by Ray Larabie, is a free wayfinding sans serif with the calm, utilitarian tone of highway lettering. The font mixes broad, even strokes with generous round forms and a sharply cut x, so the letters feel engineered for movement without turning cold.
It fits naturally in transit-themed branding, editorial cover lines, poster headlines, title cards, and interface labels where a clean directional voice helps. As a free font, it also works well for short packaging names or venue signage, since the rounded lowercase and blunt geometry keep brief words feeling steady and matter-of-fact.
