Expressway by Ray Larabie of Typodermic Fonts Inc. is a free modern sans serif with broad, open letterforms and an understated technical cast. Expressway is a sans-serif font family inspired by the U.S. Department of Transportation FHWA Series of Standard Alphabets, also known as Highway Gothic. Since the mid-twentieth century, this has been the font most commonly used on road signs in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Turkey, Spain, Venezuela, the Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Mongolia, and New Zealand. Expressway does not rigidly follow government specifications.

The family contains seven weights, two widths, and italics, for a total of 28 styles.

- Support for almost all current Latin-based languages, as well as Cyrillic languages, Greek, and Pan-Nigerian
