Fade Bold from Why Not Type is a free groovy display font with broad geometric forms and an ultra-heavy, tightly packed build. Its letters reduce the alphabet to circles, wedges, arches, and hard-edged cutouts, producing an almost abstract silhouette. The dense weight leaves little interior space.
As a graphic centerpiece, it can turn poster titles, album covers, and event graphics into bold, shape-driven images with a distinctly 1970s experimental edge. For fashion labels and music branding, the recurring circles and sharp notches can become a recognizable product motif rather than neutral lettering.
