Author's note

Fatcat Light by Jason L. Arthur of JibbaJabba is a free outlined caps display font with broad, squared-off forms. Its open interiors and firm outer contours make the letters look substantial rather than solid. Small triangular cutouts sharpen the otherwise plain geometric construction.

For sports posters, the sturdy silhouette recalls hand-drawn team lettering, but the same friendly exaggeration also suits children's game packaging. It also fits comic covers and event signage. Against mascots, badges, or simple cartoon art, the hollow letter shapes can echo the surrounding linework and become part of the illustration.
