Author's note

Fatcat by Darrell Flood is a free heavy geometric sans serif built from exceptionally broad, solid capital forms. Its oversized strokes, sharp triangular cuts, and near-circular curves create a compact, forceful silhouette. The letters sit close together, giving the design the blunt impact of cut paper or a screen-printed mark.

A poster is the clearest home for this dense lettering, especially for music, comedy, or youth events. It also suits album artwork and merchandise. The simple geometry makes each word feel like an image, so it can become a recognizable logo for an energetic clothing label or local entertainment venue.
