Author's note

Feed The Bears, designed by Max Infeld of Xerorapher Type Foundry, is a free handwritten display font with broad, uneven strokes and a restless baseline. The letters lean and swell in different directions, with rough edges that retain the quickness of marker-drawn lettering. Loose offset outlines create a lively doubled contour around the letterforms.

It is especially convincing on gig posters, where its oversized shapes supply the raw immediacy of hand-rendered artwork. The same unruly finish suits streetwear graphics and record covers. Those shifting outlines also echo sketch lines, letting the type become part of the illustration on event merchandise.
