Author's note

FEZ is a free symbolic alphabet font with spare, maze-like forms and an unmistakably coded appearance. Each sign is drawn from a nearly uniform line, with right-angle turns, open gaps, and occasional enclosed rectangles. The shapes are broad and airy.

Their resemblance to circuit paths and floor plans lets the symbols become part of the illustration on science-fiction game interfaces, electronic music posters, and puzzle branding. Album packaging and experimental editorial pages can also use this cryptic geometry to address audiences drawn to codes, machines, and invented systems.
