Author's note

Fil Sans Semi-condensed Thin by Piet Brantjes is a free handwritten monoline font with tall, slender letters and gently wavering strokes. Its uneven curves look sketched in one quick pass.

The informal line can move between boutique branding and children's publishing because it feels personal rather than typeset. It also suits album covers and small-batch packaging, where the narrow forms lend a handmade note with little visual weight. In illustrated posters, the looping letters can extend into drawn figures or simple contour motifs, turning a title into part of the artwork.
