Author's note

Filament by Gaelleing is a free trash-style script display font with tall, skeletal capital letters scratched out in several restless strokes. The uneven outlines give each form a raw, wiry silhouette with no polished edges.

It is especially convincing on music posters, where its repeated lines echo frantic pen marks and photocopied artwork. The same nervous construction suits album packaging, underground event flyers, and apparel graphics aimed at punk or experimental audiences. Because the strokes look repeatedly traced rather than cleanly drawn, the lettering can become part of a distressed illustration instead of reading as a separate typographic layer.
